GIL SMITH II is the most sought-after international music director, producer, and arranger in the business. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Gil started off as a classically trained pianist who attended Berklee College of Music. He went on to a career as a touring musician.
Gil has directed, produced and arranged iconic performances for the biggest tours, festivals, award shows, and TV specials. From Coachella to The Grammys to Saturday Nite Live and many more, his work with artists includes Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Chris Brown, G-Eazy, Travis Barker, Eminem, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Brandy, K-Pop stars BIGBANG and 2NE1.

Since 2012, Gil has run his own full-service music production and staffing company, SAGA Entertainment, specializing in live sound mixing, programming, and post-production.

During the Covid touring shutdown, Gil quickly adapted and shifted his focus to livestream production and helped to launch Matrix Studios turnkey soundstage in DTLA. His recent projects include tours and livestreams for Rod Wave, Kehlani, Mariah the Scientist, Saweetie and more.
